Eryn Supple

Born in Los Angeles, but steadily worked her way up the west coast. She obtained a BA in Anthropology from UC Santa Cruz and an AA in Archaeological Technology from Cabrillo College. Always interested in constantly learning, she started taking wine classes at the local JC and it inevitably led to a plethora of jobs in the wine industry. Moving up to Seattle for a brief stint as a wine buyer, she took a detour as a harvest intern at Beaux Freres in the Willamette Valley, OR. Missing the sun, she shuffled back down to California working at a whiskey distillery and finally landing at DHWC…where she never plans to leave. EVER!

What is your favorite wine? I am a lover of all things lesser known, eclectic, and underrated. Rioja, Loire Whites (oh Vouvray and Sancerre), Mt. Etna Reds, ever heard of Arneis, Godello, Mencia, Picpoul Blanc, Freisa, Graciano, or Silvaner? Look them up they are worth your attention.
What is your favorite wine related experience? Being lucky enough to intern on a 3-year-old Pinot noir vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It was my first real hands on, mind blowing, educational opportunity which I believe was di”VINE” intervention to shift my career to wine.
What was the first thing you bought with your own money? I mean, are we talking the FIRST…because it would have to be candy with my babysitting moola.
Heels or sneakers? Neither…boots
Wine, beer, or spirits? Let’s change the “or” to “and”. Don’t forget Cider, Mead, and Sake.
