Out of State Compliance Specialist

We provide expert assistance in obtaining and maintaining permits, licenses, reporting & consulting. Our focus is on delivering exceptional customer service and expertise to our clients.

Summary

An Out of State Compliance Specialist is the point of contact for their assigned client portfolio. Responsibilities include managing the relationship, projects involving preparation, maintenance, submission and organization of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Successful and proactive management of assigned client portfolio with varied workload and deadlines.
  • Maintain client’s out of state tax accounts.
  • Data Entry, preparation and submission of various monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
  • Track, record, and reconcile billable time.
  • Continued education, regulatory research and analysis
  • Identify opportunities for department process and infrastructure improvements
  • Participates in training programs and presentations
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ of Out of State Wine Reporting experience.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams and range of experience levels, capabilities and working styles.
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to listen, evaluate, advise, and influence.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
  • Must have more than basic excel experience (formulate, concatenate, sort, filter, etc)
  • Ship Compliant Experience Required
  • Netsuite Experience a plus
  • Superior attention to detail with ability to proofread and identify minute discrepancies
  • Strong business acumen while maintaining client centered approach.
  • Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-management, time management and the ability to prioritize competing assignments.
  • Self-reflective and personally accountable.
  • Timely and comprehensive communicator
  • Superior research and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management, and general administration
  • Potential extended hours during peak reporting periods
